A community event celebrating the abundance and beauty in our lives, led by Natasha Hood, with guest percussion group by Jane Wells
Songs, poetry and inspiration – all welcome to this unique event offering a space of beauty and reflection, for both audience and singers to participate in and be nourished by.
It will offer pause to connect with the many blessings in our lives, as well as with the gifts of the season.
The idea for the main event as being rather than a formal concert, a more community-based event (at The Lighthouse, Sheringham) with the Coast choir (and guests; if they are up for it!) performing songs of the season, interspersing them within a ceremony context where we all sit together in a circle (singers and audience/guests). There will be an altar space in the middle, and the hall decorated with beautiful things of the autumn – apples, pumpkins, wheat, berries, leaves etc.
As before, there will be 5 or 6 song rehearsals.
Themes of this year’s project will be: harvest, gratitude, abundance, apples and Coast Choir+ will perform songs and poetry of the season, and invite everyone to share in simple ritual and feasting (afterwards) in gratitude of the abundance and connections in each of our lives.
The week after, there will also be a CONCERT opportunity in Gresham village church.
