There are many folk songs about Spring, the month of May in particular, hunting in old English forests, the greening of the trees, the birds and animals… Beautiful harmony parts of songs both old and new. Not yet fully decided but pieces may include Hal an Tow (a traditional Cornish May song), O lusty May (Scottish from 1545), old English May Day Carol, folk songs The larks they sang melodious or Wild Mountain Thyme, and others, plus both very old and contemporary English rounds featuring cuckoos rather extensively!
