‘Love, Lust and Longing – Tales for Valentine’s Day’ led by two wonderful story-tellers called Jonathan Lambert and Liam Carroll. We plan a cosy evening with a glass of wine, the fire, and traditional stories from near and far dealing with love in its many aspects.
When: Saturday 10th February
Where: The Stables, Gresham, NR11 8RW – 3 miles inland from Sheringham (directions below)
Time: 7pm for a 7.30 start
Cost: £8 on the door (or £7 from Natasha in advance), including a glass of wine
A little bit about Liam Carroll:
Having spent many years travelling the backwaters of Europe with horses and carts, Liam took to street theatre. This led to other performing opportunities and then, through twists and turns, to storytelling. Drawing on ancient mythology, folk lore, fables and the humble fib, Liam seeks to beguile, surprise and amuse audiences of all ages.
And Jonathan Lambert:
Jonathan first came to storytelling via the theatre, where he works as a composer of soundscapes and a provider musical accompaniment. As a teller of tales, he aspires to create theatre in the minds of his audience.

From the main Norwich/Cromer-Holt road, take the turning directly opposite Pretty Corner, the road near the main road leading down into Sheringham (it’s the LHS of a cross-roads if you’re coming from Cromer direction). Sign-posted ‘Gresham’
Follow this road and we are the third left (a good mile along it) – it’s a private road leading to ‘Gresham Hall’, with white gate posts with chains at the top. There’s a lodge house there too. Go down this drive – we are ‘The Stables’, the second on the left towards the bottom, with a tall colourful prayer flag pole at the entrance.
(If you come to a T-junction, with Gresham signed to the left, you’ve come a bit too far – turn back and look out for the driveway soon on your RHS)
